The Hydrohammer S-500 is a powerful hydraulic hammer for pile driving, suitable for both land and underwater operations (up to a depth of around 285 m).

It is used in the construction of coastal structures, platforms, monopiles, marine foundation structures, etc.

Design Features and Control

• Forged body and ram from a single piece — ensures reliability and reduces wear.

• Monitoring and control: all hydraulic functions are electronically controlled; pressure, impact energy, number of blows, ram position, etc. are monitored.

• Safety: hammer automatically stops if:

  • incorrectly positioned on the pile shoe,

  • set energy is exceeded,

  • excessive pile penetration speed occurs.

• Flexible operation at any angle (0–90°), including horizontal and inclined piles.

• Modular design for easier access to components and maintenance.

Main Technical Specifications

• Maximum impact energy: 500 kNm (kilonewton-meters)

• Minimum impact energy: ~50 kNm (adjustable within ~5–100% of max.)

• Impact frequency (at maximum energy): ~45 blows/min

• Hammer weight (with ram):

  • In air: 90 t

  • Underwater: 74 t

• Ram weight: approx. 25 t

• Operating pressure: 300 bar

• Maximum pressure: up to 350 bar
